Literature Text

The master reigns over the land
Due to his great power.
He earned this right by his own hand
In his finest hour.

We owe our lives to the master.
Of that there is no doubt.
We must pay him our reverence,
Lest he snuff our lives out.

As his underlings, we serve him
Until the days we die.
Without him, the sun goes quite dim
Way up there in his sky.

Who knew that he could be so vain
As to demand our love?
With no return, such love will wane,
Even for those above.

He gives unto us all our woe
And yet onward we plod.
This is the fate that he bestows,
Yet calls himself a god.
Ooh edgy!
This was written for anyone who believes that everyone must share their beliefs on whether or not there is a god and which god this would be.
In the case of a lot of gods I've heard of, I really don't see much that I'd willingly want to worship, hence, I wrote this.
